Just a quick update of where Im at and what Ive been working on:

I have been finishing up my first ever commission from the wonderful Editor at Grayhaven Comics Erica Heflin....I will post it at a later date.  Thank you Erica for the work and the belief in my artwork!!!...and also landing me my next commission with James and Sean (an epic 52 page black and white comic)

I have been working on finishing up two works for Grayhaven Comics: A Scifi Horror story written by Brad Nelson and a War story written by Marc Lombardi some of the progress is posted in my gallery under Grayhaven. These are apart of their upcoming The Gathering anthologies.

I have been working on the pencils for Shotgun a soon to be epic comic for DeadNemo publishing, created by Anthonie Wilson with the story being written by the Fabulous and talented writer Veronica Massey.

I have been working on the pencils for Nova 619 group for the Solstice story and Epyrus story as well as putting some inks on a section of the No Place Like Home story.  A great group of people there.

I just finished the Inks for The epic space battle scene of the Wonder Worlock Series, written and created by the talented Byron "B" Brewer, who for some reason likes my work (I personally think it all stinks but hey no accounting for taste).

After sleeping for 5 minutes I have been working on Tengu-Grotesque a story written (yeah like I write) by me staring Tengu (a creation by me but will have a book with stories written by Veronica Massey) and will star some of the DeadNemo characters that shall remain a secret until its out.

I have some other projects that are being developed as well via DeadNemo that are in early development stage.

With all these projects in the works I hope to see daylight and the outside world sometime in early (ok late) 2014.

If anyone else would like to squeeze anymore life out of me (ok I love it) and would like a commission or concept art my prices are reasonable....or so Im told.

I can be reached at orileyfamily@aol.com

Thanks folks and in the words of a very wise Japanese man...."Keep Going"

P.S. If it wasnt enough my son has asked me to do a Manga story just for him and post it on a website for him to read weekly.....TBA....freaking kids.....

Well looks like the new year will start off with some challenges as I join the ranks of the unemployeed.....the bad news......the good news while lookkng for new employment there will be some more time for drawing and putting together my portfolio.

Yes I will be continuing to work with my old friends and look forward to working to my new friends at Grayhaven comics.

If anyone does have any leads for paid commission work please send me the info.

Now back to drawing only onward and upward.

Well the title of this entry says it all.   I am feeling very blessed to be working with some talented creators and one very talented colorist.  I am working on several projects at the moment and feel very fortunate to be allowed to draw them.  As this is the month for thanks.....I would like to thank some of those people:

Anthonie Wilson Colorist Supreme....and creator of the Underdog universe.
Ronnie Massey: Writer Supreme....Author and creator of up and coming Bloodlines comic
Darren Blackburn Nova619 Supreme...Author of Nova619
his partner in crime and creator of Wonder Worlock...Byron Brewer
JM Sloan....Artist Supreme...artist of Howl for Deadnemo comics.
last but not least my friend Shawn Simmons....creator of Menace who encouraged me to pick up a pencil and paper after a period of artistic inactivity....

oh and of course the wife Britt who puts up with my cranky ass after being up until ungodly hours drawing and  my boys who are growing far to fast.

Thank you all its a pleasure working with and or for all of you.

Zombies rule.

Hello folks,

So ok.....I am looking for an inker to ink over some of my work.  I am willing to pay a page rate of 10 bucks a page. I am looking for someone who has some experience in inking sequencial comic book art,  (you do not need to be published) works digitally (preferably manga studio), can work with a page per 1-2 week deadline and can make my pecils pop.  If your interested please feel free to take one of my penciled pages on here and send back a submission.  I will post when I have a suitable person.  I am working on several projects at the moment and would like to put out work in a faster pace.  Any inks done will give credit to the inker in any work published physically or online.

Let me know if your interested.

Thanks,
Jim
